QR codes should be simple, free, and private.
We built QR Forge because every alternative we tried either added watermarks, required sign-up, buried features behind paywalls, or silently collected our data. So we made something better."
Our mission
QR codes are infrastructure. Restaurants use them for menus. Businesses use them for WiFi access. Marketers use them to bridge print and digital. Healthcare providers use them on forms and labels. The technology is decades old and the standard is open — yet most tools wrap it in unnecessary friction.
QR Forge's mission is to make professional-quality QR code generation accessible to anyone, without accounts, without watermarks, without surveillance, and without cost. All customization — colors, gradients, logos, dot styles, error correction — is available to everyone on day one.
We believe a tool this fundamental should be a utility, not a subscription.
What we stand for
Instant, client-side generation
Every QR code is built entirely inside your browser using the Canvas API. Nothing is uploaded, no server is contacted, no round-trip is needed. The result is immediate feedback as you type.
Zero data collection
We don't store your QR content, don't log your IP for analytics, don't set tracking cookies, and don't require an account. What you create is yours alone — we never see it.
Open standards
QR codes follow ISO/IEC 18004. WiFi follows the WIFI: URI scheme. vCards follow RFC 6350. Every format we generate is standards-compliant and works with any scanning app.
Free forever
QR Forge will never charge for core generation features, add watermarks to downloaded codes, or hide essential functionality behind a paywall.
Built for everyone
Whether you're a café owner needing a WiFi QR, a developer testing deep links, or a marketer running a campaign, the tool adapts to your need without requiring expertise.
Always up to date
We maintain the generator actively — updating libraries, adding new QR types, and improving the interface based on how people actually use it.
Technology
QR Forge is a static web application — meaning every page is pre-rendered at build time and served from Vercel's global CDN. There are no databases, no backend servers, and no runtime compute costs that would require us to monetise your data to survive.
Community
Built with community feedback
QR Forge is closed-source, but development is guided openly. Feature requests, roadmap discussions, and bug reports happen in public — so you can see exactly what's being considered, shaped, and shipped.
