Our mission
QR codes are infrastructure. Restaurants use them for menus. Businesses use them for WiFi access. Marketers use them to bridge print and digital. Healthcare providers use them on forms and labels. The technology is decades old and the standard is open — yet most tools wrap it in unnecessary friction.
QR Forge's mission is to make professional-quality QR code generation accessible to anyone, without accounts, watermarks, or cost. All customization — colors, gradients, logos, dot styles, error correction — is available to everyone on day one.
We believe a tool this fundamental should be a utility, not a subscription.
What we stand for
Instant, client-side generation
QR payloads are created in your browser, so QR content is not sent to a QR Forge application server for generation. Separate site services, such as analytics, advertising, hosting, or a contact submission, may process their respective data.
QR content processed locally
QR codes are generated in your browser and QR Forge does not upload their content to its application server. If you save a design, its payload remains in this browser's local storage. Analytics and advertising services may separately process website usage or ad information when enabled.
Open standards
QR Forge supports nine content types. Wi-Fi payloads use the WIFI format and contact cards are encoded as vCard 3.0. Scanner and device behavior can vary, so test the finished code with the devices your audience uses.
Free forever
QR Forge will never charge for core generation features, add watermarks to downloaded codes, or hide essential functionality behind a paywall.

Technology
QR Forge is a static web application — meaning every page is pre-rendered at build time and served as static files by Cloudflare Pages. QR creation does not need a QR Forge server or database. Analytics and advertising integrations, when enabled, operate separately and may help us understand site use and fund hosting and maintenance.
