When scanned, Maps opens pinned to that exact point — not an approximated street address. Latitude/longitude with 6 decimal places is accurate to about 10 cm — far more precise than any street address. Five decimal places gives ~1 meter accuracy, which is sufficient for nearly all use cases.
The QR opens a URL, so a data connection is needed to load Google Maps and route navigation. Offline maps in Google Maps (if pre-downloaded) can then take over.
